2021 META XR HACKATHON REGIONAL WINNER
Here is a short video that explains how the effect works. Although I have developed other AR experiences previously, this was my first time to use Spark AR so it was an exciting challenge to learn a new software in such a short amount of time. I had a lot of fun working with hand and body tracking, so I can’t wait for AR capabilities to evolve even further to make cool stuff with!

My Role:
I coded the entire functionality of the effect, designed the UI, created the marketing strategy, and made our info video!
Our Pitch
Ever need to stunt on ‘em? In the moments you feel like the best backup is yourself, summon your clones through the portal of our lens.
The Issue:
While competing social media platforms offer plenty of dynamic lenses that enhance creator content, Instagram & Facebook seems to be lacking in these types of engaging effects which integrate interactivity with aesthetics.
This style of filter is important as it both empowers and inspires users to express themselves in a fun and creative way, so we must ask: why are there so few of them?
Our Magic Solution:
Utilizing Spark AR's new hand tracking capabilities, we created an interactive experience for users that will liven up any story or reel in addition to immersing their creators.
By focusing their energy and following the required sequence of hand movements, users can beckon clones of themselves (Stunt Doubles) to appear. The effect can be triggered any time, providing more flexibility for usage.
